    Information

A knight in shining armor, a blue-eyed golden-haired giant, a troubadour king, a warrior who knew neither fear nor mercy — Richard the Lionheart remains with us to this day through films, books, songs, comics, and video games.
Richard became a legend during his lifetime in the 12th century, a feat he actively contributed to.
Over the centuries, a quirky and contradictory myth about him has formed.
Let’s try to figure out what is fiction and what is reality, what could have actually happened, and what cannot possibly be historical truth.
Why was he called "Richard Yes and No," did he speak English, did he have the Excalibur sword, and what’s his connection to Robin Hood?
