    Information

Christopher Nolan is bringing The Odyssey back into the spotlight. Meanwhile, writer and philosopher Igor Shnurenko invites us to embark on an odyssey of our own — a philosophical one.

And what better place to begin than Cyprus — the island where Zeno of Citium, the founder of Stoicism, was born?

Why is philosophy becoming relevant again after more than two thousand years? How can we stay true to ourselves in a world beyond our control? What is actually within our power? And can philosophy be more than theory — a practical art of living?

We'll talk, debate, reflect — and drink wine.

No academic barriers: this is a philosophical evening where you're welcome to ask questions, challenge ideas, disagree, and join the conversation.

Igor Shnurenko is a writer and philosopher, author of The Epstein Archipelago, The Demon Within: Anatomy of Artificial Intelligence, Homo Fractus / The Hacked Human, and other books.
