    Let’s talk about what an earthquake is: its origin, types, and measurement scales. We’ll also look at modern forecasting capabilities and revisit the concept of seismic belts, their global distribution, and the zones of highest seismic activity.

    We will also focus on the local specifics and geological conditions of the Eastern Mediterranean — and Cyprus in particular.

    We will revisit the essential safety rules, turning to expert recommendations. How can we help ourselves during and after an earthquake? Useful information sources and links will also be provided.
